The Man who Ended Batman's Career

A new Dynamic Duo of Starman and Robin appear in Gotham City. After foiling some criminals and returning to Wayne Manor, Bruce Wayne recalls how criminal scientist Professor Milo succeeded in giving Batman a phobia of bats, which caused him to adopt the costume and identity of Starman. Through a series of psychological experiments, Robin is able to cure Batman of his fear and together they defeat Milo and send him to jail.

Note - While Batman's adventure as Starman was removed from continuity after Crisis on Infinite Earths, in James Robinson Starman series he introduced the Starman of 1951, a superhero dressed in the same outfit who operated in the DC Universe in 1951.
